DESCRIPTION

This trainer is designed to meet the operation training of various electric machines, covering a wide range for electrical machine control technologies for both DC and AC motor and generator.

  • By using micro type on-grid inverter together with variable frequency drive (VFD) to achieve safe parallel connection of synchronous generator to power grid. R-L-C loads are adopted for comprehensive motor control.
  • The frame adopts standard aluminum profile with modular experiment panel design, thus, making it easily to build different experiment combination on the flexible two-layer structure. All the upper parts are removable including the experiment module, power supply module and frame support.
  • All terminals are led out on printed composite panel with 4mm safety socket and connected by full sealing sheathed pluggable connector. The complete unit is movable with lockable truckles on bottom and available for training content extension by using other CHOIEO modular electrical units.

  • Run a synchronous motor by adding an external resistor to the motor 
  •  Determine the "v" curve for current If as a function of speed at a constant speed (n) 
  •  Determine the clamping voltage Vt as a function of the excitation current (If) at constant speed (n) 
  • Determine the clamping voltage Vt as a function of motor speed (n) at constant excitation current If 
  • Determine the clamping voltage Vt as a function of load current IL at speed (n) and constant excitation current (If)
  • Effect of an R-C load on terminal voltage Vt, power, and power factor under constant motor speed (n) and constant excitation current (If). 
  • Effect of an R-L-C load on terminal voltage Vt, power, and power factor under constant motor speed (n) and constant excitation current (If)
