Description
A versatile Robotics Kit for every level.
Unleash your students’ creativity and problem solving skills! From early, block-based coding to advanced programming and engineering, the Robotics Kit can be used with every student at every skill level.
pi-top [4] is a game-changing, programmable computing device that combines digital making, coding, and practical projects. With pi-top [4], educators, students, and inventors get to design, code, and make anything they can imagine using one simple, easy-to-use system. From beginner to superuser, pi-top powers your projects and brings learning into the real world.
Every pi-top [4] comes with our Foundation Kit, a metal ‘bento box’ containing 14 components, including programmable sensors, buttons, and LEDs. Get started right away by learning the basics of coding and physical computing, then continue your learning by progressing into guided lesson plans in advanced coding, robotics, cybersecurity, and AI.
With pi-top [4], kids can not only do cool electronic projects and learn to code using Scratch 3 and Mu, but they can also use it as a regular computer. It comes with the Chromium web browser, as well as Google Suite giving them access to Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other productivity and publishing software. They can also unleash their creativity with images and music. How about using Photo Editor, mtPaint, or ImageMagic to edit photos and graphics, or Sonic Pi to create fantastic music?
pi-top [4] is a machine for making, a PC for homework, and an entertainment device, so it is an excellent choice for a child’s first computer.
Compatibility and connectivity is the name of the game! pi‑top [4] can be connected to any monitor, but you can also use other devices to access all our fantastic software. You can easily connect pi‑top [4] to your existing Windows, Apple, and Chromebook computers, giving you access to pi-topOS on your current laptop. Interacting with pi-top [4] couldn't be more open and accessible!
Third-party products such as Arduino and Micro:Bit are also supported, and with Raspberry Pi GPIO connectivity as standard, you have instant access to thousands of free projects and resources that utilize the Raspberry Pi HAT architecture.
pi-top [4] is powered by the 1.5 GHz quad-core Raspberry Pi 4 and comes with 4 GB of RAM so that you can apply it to a range of power-hungry complex tasks including video editing and image manipulation. pi-top [4] plays nicely with natural construction products you might already own, such as LEGO and Meccano.
